Company Profile
Throughout the 1980s and 90s, Deutscher Fine Art handled the sale of many prestigious works of Australian art, from Colonial through to Contemporary. Significantly, many of these were either sold directly to, or have subsequently entered, the country’s major public galleries and museums.
Today, drawing upon over 50 years of combined experience in the commercial gallery, auction house and museum sectors, Chris Deutscher and Damian Hackett continue that tradition of excellence in their exciting new business, deutscher and hackett.
With elegant gallery premises in Melbourne and Sydney, deutscher and hackett conducts three major fine art auctions per year, one major auction of Australian Aboriginal art and special auctions of single-owner or corporate collections.
deutscher and hackett is committed to establishing new industry standards across all areas – from auction presentation and marketing to collection development and management; research and valuations; conservation; display; transport and specialist art storage.
We value strong client relationships and warmly invite you to contact us to discuss ways in which deutscher and hackett may assist you in the future.
