The accompanying certificate from Short St Gallery records the following quote from the artist: 'We bin grow that rice in that warla country. This is my country, Lungurang country. This is where I was born, I travelled around this place as a young women walking through the sand dunes (Tali) collecting Mayi (bushfood) with my daddy and two mummies. We hunted kuwi, and sat down there. We didn't have clothes then. There is mulga tree here. I had two brothers. It is this side (west side) of Winpa in Western Australia.'
