Catalogue text

This painting is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Ninuku Artists, which states: 'Kapi piti kutjara kutjara (there are four rockholes here). One is Tjawana, that's my brother's place, the second Tintilkarra piti pulkana (big rockhole). It's a big cave and inside there is water. The other two rockholes are Wiltitjarra and Tjuntaltjara.

This is my country close up to Tjuntjuntjara. When I was a young girl I travelled all around this country. Sometimes I would get pussy cat. Kuka wiruna (good meat). There is lots of maku at Ilkuwara. That's the place of the Maku Tjukurpa (witchetty grub creation story).'
