This work is accompanied by a copy of a certificate of authenticity from Short Street Gallery which states: 'This is Pinkalakara my place I was born and grew up, this is my mother's country. It is in the Great Sandy Desert near Joanna spring on Anna Plains station. This country has lots of Mayi (bush food). This painting shows the Mayi. I lost my mummy and sister here.'
