Ian Hicks AM

Chairman

Ian is highly regarded within the international
business community for his keen business
acumen, sound investment experience and
creative entrepreneurship. He is respected
for his previous roles as President of the Young
Presidents Organisation and Chairman of the
National MS Society (as recently acknowledged
in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List). An avid
patron of the arts, he has also had a longstanding
relationship with the National Gallery of Victoria.
Chris Deutscher

Executive Director, Melbourne

Chris Deutscher is a graduate of University of Melbourne and has over 30 years art dealing,
auction and valuation experience as Director
of Deutscher Fine Art and more recently,
as co-founder and Executive Director of
Deutscher~Menzies. He has extensively advised
private, corporate and museum art collections
and been responsible for numerous Australian art
publications and landmark exhibitions. He is an
approved valuer under the Cultural Gifts Program.
Damian Hackett

Executive Director, Sydney

Damian has extensive experience in public and
commercial galleries, and the fine art auction
market. He completed a BA (Visual Arts) at the
University of New England, was Assistant Director
of the Gold Coast City Art Gallery, and in 1993
joined Rex Irwin Art Dealer, a leading commercial
gallery in Sydney. In 2001 Damian moved into
the fine art auction market as Head of Australian
and International art for Phillips de Pury and
Luxembourg, and from 2002-2006 was National
Director of Deutscher~Menzies.

Doug Hall AM

Non-executive director

Doug Hall AM has been a member or director of numerous Regional, State and Federal cultural organisations. Most notable is his directorship at the Queensland Art Gallery, spanning 20 years, during which QAG expanded its international focus and developed ties with Asia. He still retains these links as a member of the Asialink Council and as an Executive Committee member of the Australia-Thailand Institute.
Kieran Hennessy

Non-executive director

Kieran Hennessy is a qualified accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Ireland and has over 20 years experience in Finance and IT related roles in Australia, the United Kingdom and Singapore. Currently, he is CEO of Applied International and holds directorships in a diverse range of companies, which include Ecokeg, Woleco Hotel Supplies (Singapore), Chance Bingo, and Victoria International (UK).
