carved in hardwood, of elongated ovoid form, the front decorated with linear zigzag designs in four sections in-filled with alternating bands of red and white pigments and three overlaid engraved circular motifs at the top, middle and bottom of the shield, the reverse with scratched and pecked linear designs with traces of white and red natural pigments, raised loop handle
