Register to Bid
Once you have established that you want to bid on an item in our auction, you need to register with Deutscher and Hackett. New bidders will be required to provide some proof of identity and residence, such as a driver's license.
There are three ways in which you can bid at a Deutscher and Hackett auction, they are:
Attending the auction
If you are planning to attend our forthcoming auction, you can pre-register as a buyer online and collect your paddle when you arrive at the auction. Please click here to access the correct form.
Bidding over the telephone
If you cannot attend the auction but would like to place your own bids on specific lots, this is the appropriate form. Telephone bids must be booked well in advance of the auction and no later than 24 hours prior. If you wish to register as a telephone bidder on particular lots in our auction, please click here. You will be contacted approximately four lots prior to your lot coming under the hammer.
Leaving an absentee bid
We are happy to undertake placing of absentee bids on your behalf. This means that, with your written authority, we act as your representative to secure an item for you at the lowest possible price. You will need to complete an Absentee Bidding form, available here, and specify your price limit for each lot. This should be the maximum hammer price that you are prepared to pay. The day after the auction, you will be notified via telephone of the result and whether or not your absentee bid was successful.
All registrations received from our website will be confirmed via telephone by a Deutscher and Hackett staff member.
