Catalogue text

This painting is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Warlayirti Artists which states: 'Eubena has painted some country along the middle stretches of the Canning Stock Route, which is her traditional country. The country she has painted here is called Tjirti, named for the prominent rockhole shown in the centre of the painting. The smaller, heavily worked shapes nearby are the parmarr, or rocky outcrops and hills of the area, while the tali, or sand dunes that dominate the area are shown over the remainder of the painting. This is the country in which Eubena's grandparents passed away and were buried.'
