This work is accompanied by an annotated cataloguing card from Papunya Tula Artists in the hand of Peter Fannin which states: ‘The dingo was important to the Aboriginal people both as a pet (young ones) and a hunting dog (sometimes they kill the kangaroo). It is not surprising then, that the dingo pupping season gives us a series of dingo stories.’
