‘Much of Fiona Foley's earlier work dealt with the elements, earth, water, air. Fraser Island, Badtjala territory, the sea and sky; indicated in the horizon lines which are ever present in her sparse, richly void landscapes and other work. In Black Fish,2000; the fish simply travel the water plane.
