Condition:
This work is in very good, stable and near original condition.
There is an intermittent vertical line with minor paint loss down the right edge probably caused by an earlier frame.
There is very minor surface crazing to the inside of the right leg. The crazing is visible in the enlarged online catalogue illustration.
There are gentle undulations in the canvas.
The work would benefit from a new surface varnish by a qualified professional.
Under ultraviolet light inspection, there is no evidence of past restoration.
This work has been housed in a gilt timber frame.
