This work is accompanied by a copy of a certificate of authenticity from Warlayirti Artists which states:

‘This painting is from Pauline’s father’s country, around Lake Mackay in W.A. and is known in Kukutja as Ininindiwarkuwarku. In the Tjukurrpa (Dreamtime), two Tjangala’s (men known of a particular skin classification) were travelling through the country and being shown the way by the Luurnpa, or ancestral Kingfisher. The four white lines show the tracks o the Tjangala’s as they walk to the shores of the lake, shown as both salt lake and with water in the centre, while surrounding the lake are claypans and swamps and on the outside, a creekline.’
