This work is in fair, stable and near original condition. There is extensive shrinkage to the paint film throughout the grey painted table, which is visible in the catalogue illustration. There is also minor shrinkage to the paint film in the vase and along the centre right hand edge. Under ultraviolet inspection, there is no evidence of past restoration but, it would appear that the artist has painted over sections of an previous painting.
