Condition:
This work is in very good, stable and near original condition.
Ultraviolet light inspection reveals several spots of old cosmetic retouching, which are:
· a small area above and to the left of the artist’s signature
· to the lower area between the group of horses and the bottom edge
· to the area of grass between the left edge and white horse
Each of these is old, stable and only visible under ultraviolet light.
The work is housed in a moulded timber gilt frame.
