Condition:
This work is in very good, stable and near original condition.
There is a soft horizontal surface abrasion to the extreme top edge, most likely caused by the painting moving in its frame. This is minor and visible in the enlarged online catalogue image.
Ultraviolet light inspection reveals small areas and spots of old cosmetic retouching, which are:
· multiple small areas to the sky at the middle and top right of the painting
· small area above the stand of trees at the left of the lake
Each of these is old, stable and only visible under ultraviolet light.

The work is housed in a dark stained timber frame with gilt front edges.
