Condition:
This work is in good and stable condition.
There are light surface abrasions and with loss of pigment to small areas to the central figure and the lower right spearthrower and evidence of staining to the bark support across the groin of the central figure.
These are old, stable, characteristic of the medium and age of the work, and visible in the enlarged online catalogue image.
The work is attached with clear plastic clips to a hessian lined backboard, housed in a custom, dark timber box frame under protective Perspex.
