Condition:
This work is in good, stable and near original condition.
There is a 20cm vertical surface crack running down from the top centre edge through the head of the kangaroo and three minor vertical hairline surface cracks running up from the bottom edge through the kangaroo’s tail and testicle. There are minor, light surface abrasions to the bark support with minor loss of pigment across the composition.
These are old, stable, characteristic of the medium and age of the work, are not visually distracting and visible in the enlarged online catalogue image.
The work is attached with metal and clear plastic clips to a hessian lined backboard, housed in a custom, dark timber box frame under protective Perspex.
