This work is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Alcaston Gallery which states:

‘This painting depicts a series of water sites that belong to the artist’s husband, which he and Ngipi used to travel between, kapitu- kapitu water to water. Katantjarra is a big rockhole, Yumantjarra has two rockholes and rabbits can be hunted here, and Warlku and Purmingka both have two rockholes. Mulyartjan is an area with four rockholes west of Patjarr. The rockholes were created in a hailstorm by the anger of Tjilkamarda (the echidna) in the Tjukurrpa, which then travels to Kuntarantjarra and Yunpalara, a large claypan site and Manmun. Wati Kutjarra (two men) tjukurpa also passed through the rockhole of Tallalla, Parrantja and Tukarankatja where the two men find and take a women then travel south, one way, never to come back.’
