This work is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Short Street Gallery which states:
‘Nancy has painted some of her traditional country located a little south of Balgo in the Great Sandy Desert. This country is known as Yarlarya. Yarlarya is an inta, or ‘living water’ place because it always contains reliable drinking water in country that is otherwise dominated by tali (sand hills). Yarlarya is Nancy’s father’s country, and was used by large family groups for camping and hunting.’
