Catalogue text

This gorgeous painting was created with an effortless ease that could allow one to willfully and easily pass over Emily's arrival at a significant point in her extraordinary path of development. In June 1995, two months after Emily's first black and white Yam paintings, her dexterity and lightness of movement between coloured linear dots and liberated gestural strokes, combine to produce this masterpiece that embraces what could only be one of a happy artist fully realising her creative prowess.
