Collected by Colin and Elizabeth Laverty over several decades, The Laverty Collection includes sculpture and ceramics from the 1960s through to present day, embracing works by contemporary artists from each decade. The Laverty Collection of Australian Indigenous Art grew substantially as they gained an understanding of its complexity and depth. It is recognised as one of the most important private collections held outside of National and State collecting institutions.
